Invasive species pose the third most signifcant threat to biodiversity, exceeded only by habitat destruction and pollution. With over 20 years of experience working in the field of terrestrial invasive plant indentification and management, I have developed a broad understanding of this issue.
I believe that education and outreach are key to helping people understand the impact that invasive plants have on our New England landscapes. Planning management strategies, whether for a residential property, municipal lands or cherished fields and forests require learning which invavise plants are present, unique features in need of protection and restoration, what the threats to the property are, and how to develop solutions.
I prepare customized presentations for a variety of entities. My clients have included the Sudbury Valley Land Trust, the Wild and Scenic Nashua Rivers
Stewardship Council, the Town of Pepperell Invasive Plant Advisory Group, the Town of Mt. Washington, Eversource Energy, Sons and Daughters of Hawley, Vegetation Control Service, and the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions.
My presentations can be given remotely via Zoom or in person. I also provide outdoor identification workshops.
I look forward to working with you to get the information you need to the constituency you serve.
